I have never gotten sick of listening to the music from Halo. In class we talked mainly about the simple origins of music in video games. To me Halo (especially the halo 2 soundtrack) represent a mature expression of music within the video game genre. The wiki article on the subject has a number of cool facts:
- More then 100,000 copies of the soundtrack were sold.
- The composer, Martin O’Donnell got addicted to the halo series while playing them as research for his musical composition.
- The total length of the two soundtracks for the second game are 2 hours and 20 minutes long.
